Summer Games

Last week we were off again to Cedar City for summer games. Kennedy and Yaeger played soccer and Taylor and Tanner wrestled, it was pretty exciting to watch and spend time together. I just wish the weather would have been better. It was quite chilly and windy, but finally on Friday it was really nice, by Saturday it rained and we were ready to head home! Layla was such a great baby. I just don't know how I got so blessed. I couldn't even tell you how much we got her in and out of the car, and her stroller. Not the mention the 5 and 1/2 hour drive! She was such a trooper!

On the last day it rained during games, so Layla and I just hung out in the car. We still had a great time!

Layla- 5 Months

Our little munchkin is 5 months old already!! When will the time slow down? I just don't want her to grow up anymore! I love this stage of her life. She's so busy and SO observant. When she's focusing on something, you can not take her attention off of it until she is ready, then, she'll move to the next object and observe it. She's so smart! Today we had fun taking some pictures of her. She did so good sitting up. Her little belly muscles are so strong thanks to her dad. He made sure to not support her to much so that she'd be a strong little girl, and she definitely is. When she'd start to tip one way she'd pull herself the other way. We had to be quick, but she did great! I think she looks just like her daddy. Good thing he's a cutie!

Things to Remember..

-She knows her name

-She loves to give kisses

-She loves to suck on her toes

-She loves her grandma Shellie's saucer

-She's tried a banana and loves to knaw on carrots

-Her eye's are so big and blue, and absolutely beautiful.

-When she wakes up in the morning, naps, or whenever she's always happy and never cries to get my attention. She just waits patiently for me to come.

-She misses her daddy so very much, cuz we're in Utah and he's in Mississippi

-She loves her Utah cousins and family

-She's an amazing little sleeper

-She's rolling really good from belly to back

-She wants to sit up on her own

-She has an adorable giggle...

The list could go on!

Family BBQ and a Dessert Night

We had some really fun cousins come into town this last weekend from California so we thought it was a perfect time to have yet another family get-together! We all met up at Aunt Marcie's and ate some more yummy food! They had SO many different desserts, so the next night, Sunday, we had a dessert night and everyone came over to my mom's for dessert! What a weekend. I have alot of cardio to do!!

Fun Videos

I don't know what it is about this ugly doll, but Layla loves it! I guess I need to get her some dolls already. One Friday afternoon it was sitting on the counter and I picked it up to see what she'd do and she just started giggling! It's hilarious.

Layla LOVES each and everyone of her cousins! They are all so silly. No matter her mood, they can all get her to giggle and squeal. I think it's adorable!

She just started this recently. She loves to kiss on your face and get slobber everywhere. I love her little kisses! Here, she's attacking Aunt Christy!

Park Day

Monday morning Catlin and I went over to my sister, Sami's, to help her with her garden. After we planted everything we packed up some yummy lunches and headed to the park. We met Misty with her kids, De'dy with her kids, Jeff, Kayla, Yaeger, Kennedy, and a good friend Chelsie w/ her little one, Addi. So yeah, we had a ball! Layla loved Addi, she would just reach for her and try to figure her out. I think Addi just thought Layla was crazy. Or maybe she thought... "This baby will smash me if I get to close!" It was so fun to see them interact!

Family Fun

Again we've had another GREAT week. I can't believe 2 weeks have come and gone already. Only 2 more till we get to see daddy and 3 more till we go home. Layla has grown so much in such a short amount of time. She's now 5 months, so I need to get her pictures done and do a post on that, but for now this is what she's been up too.

She LOVES this saucer that my mom has. We'll definitely be getting her one when we return home. All her other toys will surely bore her. The first day we put her in it she just slouched over and looked at us like, "What do you expect me to do with this?" But now she really enjoys it. She's also started reaching for me. It's the best feeling a mommy can have. When we Skype with Lance (webcam) she'll even reach for him. It's so adorable. That's one thing Lance really looked forward too, so when he gets here hopefully she'll reach up for him.

This just makes me laugh. I have like 5 flashes on my camera and I rarely get her with her eyes open.
She was tuckered out even before we left for church!
