In Action

This one is for Grandma Shellie. Here she is in action!

And So It Begins..

Layla has finally figured out how to crawl! It took her awhile to realize that using her legs helps out a lot, but she's got it down. For awhile I didn't think she'd ever get it. She'd rather try pulling herself up onto the couch than try to crawl. But with a little encouragement from me, her Daddy, and Uncle Egg, she finally got it!! We're proud of ya baby girl!

She's also starting to try and get into cabinets! I'm going to have to be more on top of it around here!
This is a day in Layla's life... Playing with her basket of toys and watching Baby Einstein. Yes, she could do it all day if I'd let her. She's also started this new face! We call it the "scrunch face."

Happy 2 years!

I can't believe two years have come and gone since my love and I got married. It has absolutely been the best two years of my life. I don't know why I have been so blessed to have such a wonderful husband, but I thank the Lord for him every day. He is the rock to our home, our marriage, and our family. He is so very patient, kind, unselfish, loyal, forgiving, soft spoken, and thoughtful. He's a perfect example of what a husband should be.

I love you Lance and look forward to many many more happy years to come!

Oh So Sleepy

This is what happens when my poor little baby doesn't get a afternoon nap...

Thursday, Layla and I had to run all kinds of errands so she was only able to get a little nap in while driving to and from different places. Probably only 20 minutes altogether. While I was feeding her her cereal she was rubbing her eyes, but seemed like she still had a good bit of energy. But with a snap of a finger she was out like a light bulb. It was so cute.

I got the camera out because she would still eat with her eyes closed, it was so funny. And she didn't even budge when I washed off her face with a wash cloth and applied lotion! (sorry it's so dark)

Happy Birthday Zadie May!!

Today our little Zadie is 4 years old!! We can't even believe it. Her and Shelbe are just growing into the most beautiful little girls. We love you so much sister and wish we could be there for your special day. Happy Birthday!!

Little Miss Tricky

This is why she loves her daddy so much...

Layla is just little miss tricky lately. She absolutely loves to be thrown every which way. Just imagine her little giggle while looking at these photos, because that's all you hear when she's being her little tricky self. She's my little cheerleader! I'm proud.
On a side note, me, Lance, Layla, Greg, and Amanda went bowling on Friday night. Out of two games, guess who won?!

Happy Birthday Shelbe!

This little girl will always hold a special place in my heart. She's the first born niece in our family and brings such joy to our lives. I can't believe she's 4 years old today. We love you Shel, Happy Birthday baby girl!! XoXo

Layla - 8 Months

Another month has come and gone...

She started this about 2 weeks ago. It's her "funny face." We'll say, "Layla, make your funny face." And this is what she does. We get a hoot out of her!
Layla brings so much joy to our lives. We are so blessed to have such a perfect little girl. Each month when I do these posts it's so bittersweet. She's just growing to fast..
