My wonderful friend, Wendi took our family pictures for us this year.

We're both really trying to learn everything about our DSLR's

so we decided to experiment on each other.

She did a wonderful job.

my parents sure do have precious pieces of heaven

while i was home, my mom insisted on getting a new, updated pic of all her grandkids.

i was pleased to do so...

it is nearly impossible to get them all to look at the camera at once and smile.

so i think pics like these make the best pics.

they're all doing what they should be doing at that particular age.

just last year, when we took the grandkids pics there were 5.

now there's 8!

excited to see what next year will bring (:

(hopefully not one from this house hold!)

it's crazy how your kids start to multiply and replenish when they get married!

i snapped these pics the first week of marxs' life.

i had to do it over a span of 2 or 3 days because i would make him so upset trying different poses.

 i'd finally give up and comfort him.

he did not want to be naked, and he did not want to be in any unusual positions.

he wanted to be nice and snug in his blankie.

there's just nothing like a sweet little newborn.

my beautiful niece asked me if i'd do her senior pics for her.

i gladly took her up on it, and really enjoyed spending that time with her.

2 year pictures

i finally finished editing layla's 2 year pictures.
i love them.
now if i could just choose which ones to print

my friends wendi and stephanie came along to do pics of their girls too.
let's just say we were all sweating by the time we were done.
it's not easy getting a 3, 2 and 1 year old to look at the camera at all times,
so i got a lot of profile shots, which is fine with me.
i love layla's little profile.

 love that i caught her in a laugh..

 she was pretty much done at this point..

what i'm working on

i finally took Layla's 2 year pictures yesterday.

here's just a couple for now.

i'm very pleased with how they all turned out.

pretty easy when you have somone as cute as her to photograph!
