Splishin and a Splashin

I just had to get some pictures of our baby in her bath! It's her favorite place at about 8:30PM. From day one, it's been placed in HER schedule, and most of the time, if she doesn't get it, we have a long night. She needs her bath!

She's very good at ignoring me what I get out the camera.
One morning Lance got her out of bed and she had little red bumps all over her. I panicked and took her to the doctor ASAP. Turns out she caught a Hives Virus and we just had to let it run it's course. Keeping Benadryl in her every 4-6 hours was the only thing that kept it under control, but when I put her in a warm bath it brought them right back out. Even though her bum is rosey, it's still so cute and dimpley!

I love this picture and that smile. Of course, it's only her dad that can make her do it.

She likes to put her face in the water and drink it. It's so funny when she comes up and there's bubbles on her, and she just goes on her merry way playing.

Superbowl XLIV Champions

New Orleans Saints

The calm before the storm...

Uncle worm wasn't to happy about the win.

Story: When the Saints were 8-0 he said he'd go back to church if they won the Superbowl.. ha better get cha a new suit worm!

So this year we hosted a Superbowl party... It was the first for me. We had more food than you can even imagine and it was all delicious! Lance was so calm for this game compared to the last. He was actually able to enjoy it. Right before Peyton threw that beautiful interception he said... "There's going to be a turnover, I can feel it." Sure enough it happened and the Spiers' house was out of control! What a fun night it was for our family...even our Utah family celebrated with us 1700 miles away.

Armed and Dangerous

Since Lance had yesterday off, and it was a beautiful day we decided to spend some quality time together and go shooting. So, I put Layla down for a nap with Grandma and we were off! Now, I must brag on my husband. He's amazing. He'd shoot his 40 like it was nothing.. one handed, left handed, approaching the "suspect" and shooting between his steps. He'd also give me scenario's and tell me exactly where he'd be shooting, and sure enough, he did. I'm so proud! As for me, I think we were both quite surprised. I'm no John Wayne, but I hit center mass with every shot. (all except for one..tehehe) Anyway, you probably shouldn't mess with us... ;)

Don't you love my LaCrosse boots he got me for Christmas? I wasn't to sure about them when I opened the gift, but now I love them! Protects me from mud, water, snakes, weeds.. you name it!

That's what sleeps next to me every night when Lance is gone. Gotta love her.

"Who Dat" Nation..

That's right, the Saints are going to the Superbowl! I feel that I'm officially part of the "Who Dat!" nation now. It's pretty fun, but crazy. These southern folks know how to party. Make sure you tune in on Feburary 7th, and cheer them on for us!

Saturday Mornings..

With Lance working nights all the time, it's really rare for Layla and me to spend a Saturday morning with him. Last Friday night was his first Friday night in awhile that he didn't have to work so Layla and I cherished every second we had with him Saturday morning. Layla had a ball with her daddy.

While we were home for the holidays we had Mindy Gale and Stephanie Martinsen take our family pictures and Layla's 1 year pictures. If you can't tell by the pictures, it was frEeZiNg outside! They were awesome at just pointing and clicking, pointing and clicking. We started at 3:30pm and were done by 4. That's my kind of pictures. Now if I could only choose which portraits to print. Thanks girls for the wonderful moments that you've captured!
