Layla - 6 Months Old

That time again... Our baby is another month older. She'll be 18 and leaving us before we even know it. She has been such a delight to watch grow, specially these past 2 months. I've seen her learn and mature more than ever! She's hilarious and constantly making us laugh. It's so hard to have a bad day when you wake up to her little baby blues. She's amazing! I get teary eyed writing this because I just want her to stay little so I can always hold and protect her. It seems like just yesterday she was born. I already miss so many things about her as an infant, but I absolutely love this stage in her life. It's all just so bittersweet to me. (Becoming a mom has made me an emotional mess!)

First time in her high chair! She looked so little in it, like the high chair was going to just eat my little baby.
MmmMmm...first bite of Green Beans!

Then the bananas. Believe it or not, she loves her veggies more than her fruit. But in all, she just enjoys eating her "big girl" food.
Yep, she cleaned her bowls the first time! Such a good baby girl!
Gotta love her little messy face!
I'll nEvER forget:
-the way she touches my face when I'm rocking her to sleep or feeding her
-how she thinks she's such a big girl
-she's sitting up
-she loves to knaw on carrots
-she reaches for me and her daddy
-the face she makes when we walk into the room
-her beautiful smile
-she little chubby legs
-she's learned how to splash in her tub (so fun to watch and play along with her)
-she just kisses and kisses me
-she's SO observant
-by the end of the day, she's pulling off her bows
-she sucks on her toes
-she kicks her legs so fast when you take off her diaper, and squeals
-her little hand and feet look like they're screwed on her little body
-she make the funniest noises when she sees I'm making her bottle or preparing her baby food
-she has started to wave bye-bye
-and yes, her first word was "da-da"...

SuRpRisE!

My parents 30th Anniversary is October 13th, but since we had everyone together while I was home we decided to be sneaky and through them a party! It was so much fun (and a bit stressful) planning and I think it turned out to be a hit! We had delicious food, (thanks to everyone that helped, specially you, Grandma Marcia) an emotional and very special slideshow/DVD for them, (Thanks Cat and Kev) and just had a great time catching up with family and friends. I think my parents really enjoyed it.
This part was so hilarious! I think the people that passed our house thought we may be a bit crazy while taking this picture. And guiding them into the church was a trip!
My dad kept his hands like this the whole time, as if we were going to run him into a tree or something!
So while we were all together we had to get the grandkids pictures done. It was quite a job, but they turned out amazing! Ricci and Stephanie did great! Thanks girls.

Zadie and Romo
Shelbe and Brodster
Me and our Angel
All the kiddies together! Out of what? 20 pictures maybe... this is the only one that turned out. I think it's cute!
Then, after the grandkids pictures, we snuck off and did some pictures of just the kids in our family for my mom and dad. They also turned out great!
This is an old abandoned house by the cinemas in Vernal. Pretty neat huh?!
We're hardly ever serious

Our Last Week in Utah

I got a little behind on my posts for Utah, so beware, there are quite a few pictures. It's to hard for me to just pick one!
I can't believe we've already returned back to Mississippi. The past 5 weeks went by so fast. I did really good, emotionally, when it came time to say goodbye to my family. But when my mom and dad dropped us off at the airport on Tuesday morning, I lost it... and still haven't found it. It's so hard to leave your family, so far away. Specially when you have a little one. We all just miss out on so much of eachother's exciting lives. But we are so blessed that we were able to go home for the time that we did, and we had a WoNderFuL time! This is our last, fun filled week in
Utah.
Layla had had it with her bow. I thought she looked like a cute little Richard Simmons.
Giving kisses to Grandma Shellie.
We loved playing on grandma and grandpa's playground!
She would just giggle when we'd come close to eachother.
Lagoon
The day Lance flew in, May 17th, we surprised him with going to Lagoon! It was so much fun. The whole family went and even though we got rained on that morning, we still had a great time!

It was so GREAT to see him after 4 weeks!
5 generations
Layla just loved her Great Great-Gandma Clark!
Sleepover Time
We had a sleepover with ALL the nieces and nephews! It was quite a night, but so fun! I cherish all the memories we make with these little ones. They are so funny!
Zadie, Romo, Brody, and Shelbe slept on the air mattress. By morning, Brody was the only one left on it!
The next morning Aunt Shellie made some delicious waffles and eggs then we went outside to play in the nice weather!
They love this back yard.. and so do I. My mom and dad has worked SO hard on it. It's beautiful.
Lunch w/ GREAT friends!
Layla and I also met up with Whitney and Lakyn and had some yummy lunch at Canton. We had so much fun catching up. I miss you girls so much!

Days at the Lake!
When we had a great day of weather, we headed up to the lake whenever we could. Layla absolutely loved the boat. And even though the water was freezing cold, she still loved sticking her feet in it.
Love this...

Lance and his boys...

My dad rocks on his Sky Ski!
Leaving Utah :( such a sad sad day.
We had many unexpected layovers in Dallas, it was ridiculous, but Layla was happy as can be!
We miss you Utah family!
