For Now...

..the weather is absolutely beautiful in Mississippi.
The azeleas are in full bloom and the air is so clean and crisp.
Since we've arrived home, we've spent our days outside, which means I'm not getting much done.
But that's ok. This weather won't last long.
And hey, I'm getting a great start on my tan!
We also spend a lot of time on Layla's great new toy from Uncle Greg.
(I hope she knows how loved she is)
Although it puts a huge smile on her face, it puts a little sorrow in my heart.
She looks so big and grown as she putt-putts around the yard.

For Now and Always...
I'll be completely in love with this guy.
He's truly the better half of me,
that little itch in my heart that I can't scratch.

I missed him so much while we were away.
Although I was surrounded with so many people that I loved and that loved Layla and me back, there was just something missing.
Almost an alone feeling.
That feeling is gone.
We're together again.
(I don't think we'll be leaving each other's side for awhile if we can help it.)

                                   ---

For Now...
I know where me and my family belong.
We can move forward.
Although it's been hard to accept, I have and I'm ok.
This is my trial and I can handle it.
Overcome it.

(Just for now)

For now...
I'm so happy,
so in love.
So ready to face what's headed our way.

Easter Weekend

Layla and I had such a great Easter weekend in Utah..
..but our best guy was missing.
We won't do that again.

Friday Night
everyone came over to my moms to dye Easter eggs.
Wasn't as chaotic as I thought it would be.

Our newly weds.
So cute.

Saturday
we all got together at my Grandma Marcia's for lunch and a Easter egg hunt.
We had initally planned it for the park but the weather was so cold and windy.
Next best place...Grandma's!

Uncle Yaeger did great at helping Layla find her eggs.

Layla was way to busy watching over her candy to take a picture.

Sunday Morning
we found what the Easter Bunny had left Layla.
(aren't holidays much more fun when you have kids?)

Easter morning is the only morning you get chocolate first thing.
She loved that part!

Playing in my mother's basket that she loved..
...wearing her Easter outfit.

I had to throw these in here.
She thought she was pretty cool when she'd sport these shades around the house.
I'd say "Work it, work it!" as I'd snap her picture.
And she sure would!

Little Dancer

This week Dancing With The Stars started.
And since Layla loves to dance, we made sure we didn't miss it.
She loved every bit.
I wish I would have camcorded it.
Pictures just don't do justice.

My mother just loves her little rolls on the back of her legs.
I do too.

Easter Fun...Or Chaos

The night Christy had Grason we had all the kids come over for a sleep over.
Here they all are, (except for Romeo, he didn't want me to take his picture) in their jammies,
starting to wind down.

Layla's jammies remind me of a big candy cane.

The next morning is when the Easter chaos came into affect.
Sami came over and we helped the kids make rice crispy eggs dipped in chocolate.
They turned out pretty cute but I think both Sami and I were thinking,
"Sprinkles and 2 year olds just don't mix!"

They patiently waited as Sami made the rice crispy eggs.

Then it began...

Layla just stayed down and cleaned up all the sprinkles that Brody and Romeo got on the floor.
She's a good vacuum.
The finished product.
They did a pretty good job.
After making our Easter treats the kids played all day long, outside in the beautiful weather.
Layla was plumb exhausted that afternoon.
(she totally looks like her dad when she sleeps same lips and all)
