Fair, Pumpkins, Playing, and More...

I've got some catching up to do, so beware, there are A LOT of pictures below! We've had a fun filled week, and it's not even over. We are just loving every bit of fall and enjoying the Halloween holiday. The weather has been absolutely beautiful the past week or so. We've had a cool front come in along with a little rain, so sitting outside and playing on the grass is a very ideal afternoon for the Spiers' family.

She'd do anything to get that jacket off. She is no where used to wearing a lot of clothes to stay warm.

Me and my sister-in-law, Lacey, made some yummy Halloween treats. Lance helped to decorate them. What fun afternoon that was!
I know the licorice looks like it's in my nose, but I promise it's not.

Playing with Daddy

Our toilet paper terror...

Franklinton Fair
Every October there is a huge fair in Franklinton, Louisiana. Lacey gave us the smart idea of going, so we did. It was so much fun watching Layla interact with all the animals. She loved every bit of it, and so did we!
This mean ole cow mooed at her right as we parked her stroller next to it. As you can tell by the look on her face, she wasn't too thrilled.

These were the cutest little piggy's ever!
And so were these chicks.

This chicks were hatching as we watched. It was so neat, something I'd never seen before. The poor things just looked exhausted after hatching.

These cows were huge! And Layla did not want anything to do with them!

She still loves showing off her tricks.
Ok ok, I know this is disgusting, but this ugly old rat feels good on my babies little sore gums. She gets so excited when she sees that thing fall out of her toy box! And no, I didn't buy this for her to play with, it's one of Lance's little toys he plays tricks on people with.
Finally got a picture of those two little teeth! We've found ourselves singing "All I want for Christmas is My Two Front Teeth!" And we really do, for Layla's sake.
Carving Pumpkins
After putting Layla down last night we all broke out of pumpkins and did some carving. What a blast it was! I think they all turned out so cute and wicked looking.

Left to Right: Mine, Lacey's, Dane's
Left to Right: Lance's, Brad's, and Greg's.
We sat outside and stared at them forever. It's amazing how much they infactuated us.

Back to the Blogging World!

We're back! I can't believe it's been a week and a half since I've blogged! It's been far too long. Even though we've been MIA, everything's been going good as we are still trying to adjust with our move. Here's what we've been up to the past few weeks. I'll let the pictures do most of the talking.
This was the last picture I took in our first home. It was just an afternoon of playing on the floor with Layla.
Still a pro at the "funny face"
She got to try her first sucker and chewed on the opposite end most of the time. She didn't like it as much as I thought she would.

Enjoying any minute she can get with her daddy
Christy, this made me miss Brody! I had put a night gown on her (that was a little too big) the night before because all her jammies were dirty. And this is how she looked when she woke up!
Silly Sally
While I clean our room, she destroys it...
...along with the rest of the house!
She's been such a bigga lady lately. She's standing on her own now for about 20-30 sec. at a time. I'm sure she'll be walking before we know it!

"Bigga Lady"
This weekend we FINALLY got some cool weather so she got to sport her boots.

We went up to Hattiesburg to spend sometime with our family up there. She just loved playing with all her cousins. They would put her in a clothes basket and push her around the house. We'd call her "Princess Lay Lay."

Busy Busy...

Me, Lance, and Layla have started a new chapter in our lives. We've moved. It's been quite a busy week for us and now that things are starting to slow down a bit I feel the emotion coming on. Our little apartment was our first home, Layla's first home. We made it our cozy little spot in town where we felt safe, comfort, peace.. all those feelings your home should bring you. Although it's going to be tough, Lance and I feel it's the best choice for our little family and we'll be moving on to bigger and better things.

As for time being we're living with Lance's parents. Layla has had a hard time adjusting to everything. After 3 long nights of being up on and off she finally got a good nights sleep last night. And now she's trying to fight an awful cold. (At least that's what I hope it is) She's really enjoyed spending extra time with Grandma and Grandpa Spiers along with Uncle Greg. These will be precious memories for us, so we mush cherish every second of it. We're so grateful for Sue and Preston and their hospitality. We've pretty much just taken over their home, and they've both been so welcoming.

So that's what's happening in our busy busy lives. We're waiting to get our internet connection for our computer so I'll post pictures as soon as we get it. Here's to a new chapter...

Layla - 9 Months

Few, here we are, October 1st. Where did September go? Our baby is 9 months old. I'll tell you what, these 9 months went by way faster than the 9 months that I was pregnant! As always, she has been such a joy in our lives. She's crawling everywhere, standing up on everything, throws little temper tantrums, walks up and down the couch, and continues to get more adorable. We also had her 9 month check-up today. She's weighing in at 20.8 lbs (75%) and she's 26" long (10%). Looks like she might get her height from her mother. She also had to get her polio shot and took it like a little pro. It was much harder for me than her.
Lance and I took her out today and took some pictures. She was such a ham at first, but about 10 minutes into it she had had enough. Probably not the best day to take pictures, shots and all, but she hung in there and we were able to get some cute pictures. I love capturing these moments!
She's so independent

Of course, she had to do her "funny face!"
Never Forget:
-crawling, crawling, and more crawling
-wants Baby Einstein on all the time, even though she doesn't sit still to watch it
-loves to sing along with mommy
-our little dancing queen
-has a very high pitched squeal
-loves patti cake
-gives momma "high 5"
-she mimicks the chorister at church by waving her hands in the air while signing hymns
-loves to cuddle
-gives the best loves and kisses
-still only has 2 teeth
-walking up and down the couch
-pulling up on everything
-very smart
-loves popcorn
-she knows she's funny
-licks her lips when she watches us eat
-not the biggest fan of table food, but we're working at it
We love you baby girl!

Mmm... October!!

This is my absolute favorite time of the year! I Love Love Love the fall. The colors, the clean crisp air, no more humidity (at least for a few months), boots, scarfs, sweaters! Ahh... Here's what we're looking forward too:
